I am proud to be the owner and a hairstylist at Portray Salon. I have been in the industry for 38 years now. I started my journey as a graduate of Capri Institute of Hair Design. I love my job because I get to make every person that sits in my chair feel great about themselves. I get to meet so many new people every day and everyone has a different story and wants a different look and I get to help them accomplish that. I love to go to classes and further my education by learning about the latest trends techniques and products and sharing that knowledge with the salon staff and my clients.

I teach client’s the proper and most beneficial maintenance and daily regimen for their hair. I guess you can call me a hair doctor!

The best aspect of my career is creating countless different hair colors and hair styles that flawlessly compliment each person, and seeing their self esteem blast up when they leave my chair. As a young girl standing, looking into a large salon in the mall, my girlfriend and I dreamed of becoming hair stylists. Well, 30 plus years later, we own a salon with two other friends.
I am a proud owner and hair stylist at Portray Salon. I love my job because I get to make people feel better about themselves. I meet so many new people every day, and everyone wants a different look. I get to help them with that. I consider all of my clients as family and enjoy the time I spend with each of them in my chair.

As a little girl I always styled my Barbie’s hair and gave them hair cuts. When I was going to college for environmental engineering I got a job in a salon where I grew from receptionist to assistant, and eventually a stylist/manager…20 years and a few salons later I am still at it and have never looked back!
I am the newest member of the Portray family (started Feb ’18), and I already feel like it’s a perfect fit! I love my new home and can’t wait to grow here!
The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the look on my clients’ faces when I give them “exactly what they were looking for” even when they don’t know themselves. My career is not just about giving people a new look, but also about the connection made and being reminded we are all connected to each other in this crazy world!
